Ohio Heirloom Seeds

This rare variety was my special project this year; I personally germinated the seeds, grew the plants, harvested the seeds, and germination-tested (98%+). They grew very well for me and yielded 25 to 40 tomatoes per plant even though we had a cool summer. Fruit are blackish-green, 6 to 12 ounces in size, and are noted for their distinctive sweet, smoky flavor. Most tomato connoisseurs rate this in their top 2 or 3. The Paul Robeson orginated in Russia and is named in honor of the famous opera singer Paul Robeson ("Old Man River").
